Gamay
Clos de la Roilette 2023 Fleurie
Black cherry and raspberry lead a floral, cool-toned nose, joined by violet, black pepper, stone and a faint smoky note. Smooth and well structured, the palate layers crushed strawberry and black raspberry over earthy spice. Fresh mineral detail carries the fruit into a long, composed finish. Serve lightly cool with charcuterie, roast chicken, pork or mushroom dishes.
Clos de la Roilette 2023 Fleurie Cuvée Tardive
Dark cherry and black berry fruit are joined by fresh thyme, woodsmoke, dark earth and a floral note. The palate is full-bodied and focused, with concentrated fruit held by ripe tannins and a clear savoury line. Long and composed through the finish, it has the depth for roast duck, pork or mushroom dishes while retaining the freshness to drink on its own.
Jean Foillard 2023 Morgon Côte du Py
Dried cherry and prune lead a soft, unctuous palate, with concentrated fruit carried by a supple texture. There is seriousness beneath the generosity, but the wine remains composed and flowing rather than dense. Its pure, generous shape makes it a natural partner for charcuterie, roast chicken or goat cheese, while the fruit remains clear enough to enjoy on its own.
Clos de la Roilette 2022 Griffe du Marquis
High-toned perfume opens, with older-barrel élevage adding a restrained savoury frame. Large-scaled and complex, the palate is tightly composed around a fine, impressive structure rather than easy fruit. The finish is persistent and clearly built for patience, with definition that should unfold further in bottle. Give it air, or serve with roast duck, mushroom dishes or charcuterie.
Coquard 2020 Les 38 Villages Beaujolais-Villages
Bright and perfumed, with peony, lilac and fresh red cherry leading the way. Juicy berry fruit fills the palate, supported by lively acidity and a light, supple frame. Dry and energetic rather than candied, it finishes cleanly with gentle spice, a mineral lift and the easy charm of a cool-climate red.
Ursa Major 2023 Chapter V Gamay Vin Gris
Whole-cluster pressed without maceration, this pale Gamay was fermented naturally in neutral barrels and puncheons, then rested on its lees for five months. Volcanic rock, sandy loam and clay at the West Kelowna site frame a precise, lightly textured vin gris. Hand-bottled unfined and unfiltered, it finishes with quiet savoury detail and gentle breadth.
Blue Mountain 2023 Estate Cuvee Gamay Noir
Strawberry and red cherry meet red rose, spice and a flinty savoury note. The palate is firmer and more structured than a simple carbonic style, with bright acidity and old oak adding shape without obscuring the fruit. A lightly salty, earthy finish makes it a natural partner for roast chicken, charcuterie or mushrooms.

Partial ageing in new oak brings polish and complexity without obscuring the freshness of Gamay. Drink now or hold for several years, and serve with pigeon, feathered game, roast duck, mushroom dishes or a red-fruit tart for a more unexpected pairing.

The wine comes from the Loire Valley and carries the Vin de France designation.

Fermentation then finished in bottle, producing a modestly sparkling dry wine. Production totalled 208 cases, with 11.5 percent alcohol.

Jean-Étienne Chermette 2021 Beaujolais Gamay
Raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant define the fruit profile. The wine comes from roughly seventy-year-old Gamay vines on dark granite. Traditional Beaujolais vinification uses whole bunches and semi-carbonic maceration, with five to six days in concrete tanks. Indigenous yeasts are used, with no chemical inputs added during vinification.
