About Cave Saint-Désirat
Cave Saint-Désirat began in 1960 when 137 growers formed a cooperative on the right bank of the northern Rhône. Its first Saint-Joseph harvest came in 1973, with Condrieu following in 1992. More than 350 growers now share its cellars, working almost 600 hectares of vines.
The Saint-Joseph vineyards lie on steep granite terraces, where grapes are picked by hand. Alongside Syrah reds, the cooperative makes Viognier from Condrieu and Collines Rhodaniennes, with Côtes du Rhône and Ardèche wines also part of the range.
