Concentrated fruit, spice and mineral notes accompany firm tannins and balance. Made entirely from Syrah, the red carries the IGP Vin de Pays de l’Ardèche designation and thirteen percent alcohol. The cooperative is based in Saint-Désirat in the northern Rhône. Its gravity-fed winery uses native yeast and pneumatic presses, and its vineyards include holdings in Saint-Joseph, Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie.

Cherry and plum aromas accompany a medium-bodied profile with a plush, soft palate. Warm spice, clove and nutmeg add further detail, while violet and earth are also part of the established profile. Made from Pinot Noir in California, the wine carries thirteen percent alcohol. Residual sugar is listed at nine grams per litre. Suggested pairings include beef, veal, poultry and game.

Dark fruit, spice and vanilla accompany a soft, supple profile with a long finish. Red cherry and blackberry add further fruit detail, and the colour is vibrant ruby. Tempranillo and Garnacha form the blend. The palate is medium-bodied, and the wine carries the Rioja designation with 13.5 percent alcohol. Suggested pairings include lamb and other red meat.

Red berries and vanilla accompany a vibrant palate, silky tannins and depth. Agiorgitiko and Cabernet Sauvignon form the blend from the Peloponnese. Each variety receives one week of skin contact and completes malolactic fermentation before the final blend is assembled. The grapes are harvested by hand from September into October, and the finished wine carries twelve percent alcohol.

Made entirely from Tempranillo selected from old vineyards, the wine matures for at least six months in American and Spanish oak. Violet colour accompanies floral, ripe black-fruit, cassis and mineral notes. Plum, fig preserve and strawberry compote add further fruit character. The vineyards include very old parcels with low yields, and the finished red reaches 14 percent alcohol.

Blackberry liqueur and brambly fruit accompany tart raspberry, dark plum and cobbler flavours. The medium-bodied palate also carries pepper and pomegranate, with soft tannins. Ten months in American, Hungarian and French oak add coconut and vanilla to the long finish. This dry California red is built around old-vine Zinfandel and is closed with a screw cap.

Intense ruby-red colour in the glass shows light garnet reflections. An intense fragrance includes raspberry, blackberry and ripe red fruit, with delicate vanilla also present. The palate is dry, well-balanced and full-bodied, supported by sweet, delicate tannins. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon form the blend. The wine comes from Colli Orientali del Friuli in northeastern Italy.

Ruby-red colour accompanies red raspberry, ripe cherry and baking-spice notes, with cassis and black cherry adding darker fruit. The palate is pleasantly tart, while fine tannins and lively acidity give the wine freshness. Pinot Noir from Dealu Mare is hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel. The wine is dry, lightly bodied and unoaked, with a delicate mouthfeel.

Deep violet colour shows blue reflections. Blackberry, chocolate, coffee, black pepper and lavender accompany soft fruit and a smooth, medium-bodied palate. Made entirely from Carménère in Chile’s Maule Valley, the wine spends six months in oak, with half of it in French oak. Alcohol is 13.5 percent, and the bottle is closed with a cork.

Blackcurrant, plum, cherry and spice are joined by soft oak. The medium-bodied palate is smooth, with gentle tannins. Black cherry, cassis, earth, green bell pepper and leather are also present, together with dark fruit and a velvety texture. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grown organically in Chile, the wine comes from the Central Valley and contains 13.5 percent alcohol.
