Spanish Red
Spicy and balsamic aromas include vanilla, coconut and black pepper with blackberry notes. The palate is well structured, with balanced acidity and alcohol, soft, silky tannins and a long finish of fresh blackberry and spicy wood. The blend is eighty percent Tempranillo and twenty percent Garnacha. Tempranillo matures for thirty-six months in American oak, while Garnacha spends thirty months in American oak.
Remoissenet 2017 Bourgogne Rouge Renommée 1.5 L
French Red
Red summer berries, redcurrant and baking spices appear in the aromas. The palate is tangy, with suave tannins, pomegranate jam, red cherry and spice-box flavours. The Pinot Noir comes from estate-owned and purchased Burgundy fruit. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts in open-top French oak vats. The wine matures in French oak barrels, fifteen to twenty percent new, and is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Jean-Luc Colombo 2017 La Louvée Cornas
French Red
Cassis and blackberry flavours retain freshness despite the wine's concentration and richness. The Syrah is full bodied, with savoury smoke, nut and iron. Integrated oak and fine, delicate tannins are also present. Fruit comes from a single parcel on granite in Cornas. The grapes are hand picked and destemmed. Temperature-controlled maceration lasts one month. Ageing lasts twenty-two months in oak, fifteen percent new.
Wasenhaus 2022 Vulkan Spätburgunder
German Red
Pure, refreshing cherry aromas appear on the nose. The palate is tight, fresh and intense, with medium body and a nervy structure. Sour cherry appears on a tart, concentrated finish. Fruit comes from Eichstätten and Jechtingen, with fifteen to twenty percent whole clusters. The Pinot Noir grows on shallow black volcanic soils. The wine is bottled at 12.5 percent alcohol.
Domaine Philippe & Vincent Jaboulet 2016 Ermitage Blanc
French White
Fresh apple, lemon and quince define the profile. Roussanne grown on loess soils forms the entire wine. Fermentation and maturation take place in oak, half of it new. The wine is full-bodied, dry and lightly oaked. It is bottled at 13.5 percent alcohol. The low-yielding Roussanne develops in small, tightly packed bunches. Finesse and delicacy are also present.
Julien Guillot 2020 Bourgogne Rouge Cuvée Auguste
French Red
Pinot Noir grows on clay and limestone soils with calcareous silt and abundant silica. The grapes undergo semi-carbonic maceration, followed by twelve months in used French oak. Bottling takes place without fining, filtration or added sulphur. The property is farmed organically without chemical treatments, and biodynamic methods are used. Work in the vineyard and cellar is performed by hand, without additions during growing or winemaking.
IDDA 2023 Bianco Sicilia DOP
Italian White
Lemon, orange, grapefruit, ripe peach, nectarine, apricot and jasmine appear with a mineral note. The palate is juicy and refreshing, with lightly salty mineral impressions and a lingering aftertaste. Carricante comes from Biancavilla and Belpasso on the southern and southwest slopes of Etna. Whole bunches are cold pressed, and ageing lasts six to nine months in oak and stainless steel.
Barale Fratelli 2019 Castellero Barolo
Italian Red
Cherry, raspberry, mint, eucalyptus, pepper and nutmeg appear in the aromas. The palate combines fruit and spice with refreshing acidity, ripe tannins and a persistent, saline finish. Castellero lies in the municipality of Barolo on calcareous, silty clay loam. The organically farmed vineyard has a southwest exposure at 270 metres. The wine is made entirely from Nebbiolo and bottled at fourteen percent alcohol.
Kistler 2014 McCrea Vineyard Chardonnay Sonoma Mountain
American White
Pineapple paste, honey-nut, guava, cashews and brioche appear with a satiny texture and zippy acidity. Dried pear, almond, savoury herbs and dried flowers are also present, together with a persistent finish. The vineyard lies on the eastern bench of Sonoma Mountain. Its soils combine volcanic material and limestone. Floral and citrus-blossom aromas and a chalk-like fruit core are part of the site profile.
Bien Nacido Estate 2019 Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valley
American Red
Black tea, mandarin and fresh cherry appear with sage and exotic spice. The palate has suave tannins and further spice. The Pinot Noir was harvested by hand at night, fermented with native yeast and completed malolactic fermentation. It matured for sixteen months in French oak, half of it new, and was bottled without fining or filtration. The selected vineyard blocks were planted in nineteen seventy-three, nineteen ninety-six and two thousand six.
Barale Fratelli 2019 Bussia Barolo
Italian Red
An expressive profile brings dried rose, liquorice, tobacco, leather and violet. The palate is robust yet velvety, ample and balanced. Fruit comes from Bussia Soprana in Monforte d'Alba, at 270 metres on calcareous, sandy-loam soil. The wine is made entirely from Nebbiolo. Grapes are harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously in oak with indigenous yeasts and macerated for about fifteen to twenty days.
Veyder-Malberg 2021 Weissenkirchner Ried Weitenberg Grüner Veltliner
Austrian White
Stone fruit, white flowers and citrus appear in the aromas. The palate includes peach, apricot blossom, lemon peel, lemongrass and a touch of pepper, with further yellow-fruit character. Fine fruit acidity and balance accompany a long finish. This is a single-site Grüner Veltliner from the Weissenkirchner Ried Weitenberg in Wachau, bottled at 13.5% alcohol.
Château Brown 2021 Blanc Pessac-Léognan
French White
Floral notes and a light smoky note emerge after swirling. The palate is soft and fresh, with full body, aromatic density and further floral character. Sauvignon Blanc brings tension, and the finish is mineral, taut and very long. The blend is sixty-eight percent Sauvignon Blanc and thirty-two percent Sémillon. Grapes were harvested by hand, then fermented and matured in oak for eight months with stirring on fine lees.
Haut-Bailly II 2019 Pessac-Léognan
French Red
Fresh fruit and a suave structure define the profile. Merlot brings aromatic freshness and roundness, while silky tannins give the wine a soft texture. The blend is sixty percent Merlot and forty percent Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes were harvested from September 23 to October 10. Rich berry fruit, cassis, cigar wrapper and loamy soil are also present. The tannins are ripe and powdery.
Pindarie 2020 Black Hinge Reserve Shiraz
Australian Red
Berry fruit and spice meet a concentrated, dense structure, supported by strong tannins and balanced acidity. The palate has a luscious, lingering mouthfeel. The Shiraz comes entirely from estate-grown fruit selected from the lower section of Tony's Block, on terra rossa soils. A small open fermenter is used with gentle hand plunging. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel, followed by sixteen months in French oak.

French Red
Red cherry, crushed strawberry and rose petal appear in the bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied, with sappy, fleshy red fruit and a rounded, malleable texture. The finish is sweet. Fruit comes from a single 1.25-hectare parcel. The wine is made from Pinot Noir; grapes are harvested by hand, fully destemmed and moved into vat by gravity after sorting.
White Walnut Estate 2023 Worden Hill Road Chardonnay
American White
White peach, white pepper, saline and seashell notes accompany tight citrus acidity. Flinty spice and lemon verbena are present with lime zest and fresh flowers. The medium-bodied palate is tangy, mineral, vivid and vibrant, with a clean, fresh character and a Chablis-like feel. Its linear shape remains ripe and energetic. Fruit comes from a Chardonnay site along Worden Hill Road in the Willamette Valley.
Ekho 2022 Santorini Assyrtiko
Greek White
Chamomile, green tea and bergamot appear with basil, citrus zest and white pepper. The palate is steely and oily, with sharp acidity, white nectarine, tea, ginger, tension, salinity and a mineral finish. Fruit comes from a single Megalochori vineyard beside the caldera rim, planted to ungrafted basket-trained Assyrtiko more than 150 years old. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel; the wine spends eleven months on lees with regular stirring.
E. Guigal 2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge
French Red
Dark, dense red colour appears with spice, small red fruits and jam. The palate is powerful and complex, with round tannins, ripe plum and cherry-stone notes. The blend contains seventy percent old-vine Grenache, fifteen percent Mourvèdre, ten percent Syrah and five percent other varieties. Vines average about fifty years, growing in stony Rhône alluvium and red clay.
Champagne Legras & Haas Les Visions Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut NV
French Sparkling
Chardonnay from parcels across Chouilly forms this Grand Cru blanc de blancs. The palate has breadth and a particularly creamy middle, while the finish is fresh and persistent. Honeysuckle, citrus, elderflower and pear appear throughout the profile. The cuvée draws on most of the village’s terroirs. Wines made with and without malolactic fermentation are combined; stainless-steel and oak-barrel components are also used.
Thierry Pillot 2022 Bourgogne Blanc
French White
Fruit comes from vines more than forty years old in Puligny-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. The wine ferments and matures for one year in older 350-litre barrels, followed by six months in stainless steel. Citrus, floral and green-apple aromas accompany succulent, round and vibrant middleweight flavours. Fine weight, depth and a touch of spice are present, with a fresh, citric character. The vineyards are farmed organically.
Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet 2022 Fixin
French Red
Red cherry and crushed strawberry appear in a delicate bouquet. The medium-bodied palate has refined tannins, lightly spiced red fruit and white pepper. The village bottling blends several parcels in Fixin, including Les Crais and En l’Olivier, on brown limestone and marl soils. A portion of whole bunches is used, and maturation takes place in previously used barrels. Alcohol is thirteen percent.
Hacienda Araucano 2016 Alka Carménère
Chilean Red
Deep cherry-red colour appears bright and intense. Black fruit, eucalyptus, black pepper and cinnamon form an intense, complex aromatic profile. The palate is powerful, with silky tannins and balanced acidity. Prune and marmalade are present with spice in a long, complex finish. Made entirely from organically grown Carménère, the wine undergoes double sorting, destemming and gentle crushing. Skin maceration lasts one month.
Giovanni Sordo 2016 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione
Italian Red
Woodland berries, new leather and forest floor appear with morello cherry, liquorice and tobacco. The full-bodied palate is fresh and linear, with bright acidity, taut polished tannins and juicy fruit. Made entirely from Nebbiolo, the wine comes from Rocche di Castiglione in Castiglione Falletto, at 320 to 350 metres. Compact grey-white and bluish marl lies below the surface.
Clos Cibonne 2019 Château Cibon Cuvée Hommage à Marius Rosé
French Rosé
Made from ninety percent Tibouren and ten percent Grenache, this rosé comes from vines more than sixty years old. The wine spends two years in 2,600-litre French-oak foudres, with bâtonnage during the first six months. Its onion-skin colour accompanies full body and layered intensity. Spiced and candied-fruit notes are present with a vinous, substantial palate. The cuvée honours Marius Roux and uses the estate’s historic Château Cibon label.
Danbury Ridge 2020 Pinot Noir
British Red
Ripe fruit, orange blossom and forest floor appear in an expressive bouquet. Fresh acidity, plush velvety tannins and a long finish define the palate. Fruit is hand picked and sorted, gently destemmed without crushing, then given a three-to-five-day cold soak in open-top oak fermenters. Maturation lasts ten months in French oak before bottling without fining or filtration. Alcohol is thirteen percent.
Colombera & Garella 2019 Cavazucchi 1.5 L
Italian Red
The wine comes from a single 0.8-hectare parcel planted in the early twentieth century. Nebbiolo accounts for eighty-five percent of the blend, with Croatina and Vespolina making up the remainder. The parcel lies in Masserano in Alto Piemonte, and fragrance is a hallmark of the site. The bottling is separate from the winery’s Bramaterra cru, and the vineyard is now owned by the winery.
Montes 2020 Purple Angel Carménère
Chilean Red
Carménère accounts for ninety-two percent of the blend, with eight percent Petit Verdot. Ripe blackberry, plum and blueberry appear with sweet spice, pink pepper, coffee and tobacco. The palate is balanced and silky, with fruit and a caramel-like body. Seventy percent matures for eighteen months in first-use French oak and thirty percent in second-use barrels. Alcohol is fourteen-and-a-half percent, and the finish is very long.
Domaine Raspail-Ay 2013 Gigondas 1.5 L
French Red
The blend is sixty percent Grenache, thirty-five percent Syrah and five percent Mourvèdre. Jammy red and black fruit appear with toasted spice. The palate is fleshy, with ripe tannins, acidity and balance. Grapes are harvested by hand. Vatting lasts thirty days, and maturation lasts eighteen to twenty-four months in oak foudres plus six months in demi-muids. Alcohol is fourteen percent.
Domaine Georges Glantenay 2020 Volnay Vieilles Vignes
French Red
Fruit comes from five parcels planted with vines aged sixty years and older. Dense, complex aromas accompany a broad profile of darker fruit. The palate is more intense, with slight salinity and a little more structure. Fruit for this old-vine bottling was formerly blended into the domaine’s other village wine, whose vines range from thirty to sixty years of age.
