Fairview Cellars 2001 Merlot Cabernet

Canadian Red
$38.99

Merlot and Cabernet form this red blend from the Okanagan. The six-acre property near Oliver was purchased in the late nineteen-eighties, and Bordeaux varieties were planted from the early nineteen-nineties. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc occupy most of the site. The winery opened at the turn of the century beside the Fairview golf course, within one of Canada’s warmest grape-growing areas.

Raspberry, cassis and spice form a compact, pure-fruited profile. Bright acidity keeps the wine juicy and fresh through the finish. Medium body, smooth texture and balance give it an easygoing character, while plum, cherry, blackberry, herbs and cedar add further detail. It is ready to enjoy and works naturally with sausage pizza, beef tacos or a casual barbecue.

Terravista 2025 En Terre Riesling
