Chateau Musar 1999 White

Lebanese White
$44.99
Brilliant full gold in colour, with butter, honey, roasted almonds, apricot, vanilla and orange. Toasty honey, ripe apricot, nuts and spice carry through the rich palate, balanced by good acidity. The blend is two-thirds Obaideh and one-third Merwah from low-yielding Mount Lebanon vineyards. Fermentation began in cement vats, followed by six to nine months in French Nevers oak barrels. Alcohol is twelve-and-a-half percent.

Château Léoville Barton 1999 Saint-Julien

French Red
$299.99
Cabernet Sauvignon accounts for seventy-two percent of the blend, with twenty-two percent Merlot and six percent Cabernet Franc. The wine has extremely dense colour and a powerful tannic structure. Harvest ran from late September into early October. The end of summer was warm and dry, and the grapes reached full ripeness. Merlot recorded high natural alcohol levels during the vintage.

Domaine Louis Carillon et Fils 1999 Puligny-Montrachet

French White
$249.99
White peach, lemon zest and yellow apple lead a lifted, finely mature bouquet. Almond and wet stone add quiet depth, while a touch of beeswax brings savoury complexity. The palate is fresh and poised, with citrus brightness and mineral tension carrying the fruit. Elegant and persistent, it closes with orchard fruit, toasted almond and a clean, stony finish.

Château L’Église-Clinet 1999 Pomerol

French Wine
$319.99
Mature and understated, with black cherry, smoke and forest floor leading the nose. Earth and leather add depth, while a thread of freshness keeps the profile from feeling tired. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, its fruit now fully integrated with soft tannins and restrained savoury detail. Subtle spice appears toward the close, and the finish is measured rather than forceful, leaving dark cherry, smoke and underbrush behind.

Château de Fargues 1999 Sauternes

French Dessert
$249.99
Fresh apricot and passion fruit open with saffron, vanilla and a fine roasted-botrytis character. The palate is rich and generous, bringing candied fruit and warm spice around a smooth, flowing texture. Acidity is measured rather than sharp, and the wine gains freshness and aromatic precision with air. The finish is expansive and persistent, returning to passion fruit, roasted notes and a subtle hint of orange peel.

Domaine Jean-Louis Chave 1999 Hermitage Rouge

French Wine
$1,289.99
Blackberry and cassis are joined by smoked red fruit, cedar, cigar wrapper, dried flowers and peppery thyme. The palate is concentrated and richly textured, with firm tannins, mineral depth and a savoury line of flint, tar and Provençal herbs. The structure remains substantial, but the mature aromatics are expressive. Decant carefully and serve with roast lamb, venison, braised beef or lentils with smoked sausage.

Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 1999 Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC 1.5L

Italian Red
$1,599.99
Blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry lead into tobacco, cedar, graphite and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is rich yet disciplined, with velvety tannins, bright acidity and a savoury mineral line. Nearly two years in French oak has settled into the fruit, adding spice and dark-chocolate depth without obscuring its freshness. Decant with care and serve with roast beef, lamb, game or a deeply flavoured mushroom dish.

Masseto 1999

Italian Red
$1,999.99
Blackberry, black cherry and violet unfold into dark chocolate, liquorice, graphite and tobacco. The palate is concentrated and broad, with polished tannins, balanced acidity and a savoury mineral line that keeps the ripe fruit composed. Long ageing in new French oak is now fully integrated, adding depth rather than overt sweetness. Decant gently for sediment and serve with braised beef, roast lamb, porcini or a firm aged cheese.

Masseto 1999 3L

Italian Red
$7,999.99
Deep and composed, with black plum, blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and candied violet opening into graphite, tobacco and a gentle earthy complexity. The palate is broad and concentrated, yet the texture remains polished, with supple tannins, balanced acidity and a long savoury finish. Extended ageing in new French oak has settled seamlessly into the fruit. A mature, structured Tuscan red for slow service alongside braised beef, roast lamb or aged hard cheese.

Domaine Laroche 1999 Chablis Grand Cru Les Blanchots

French White
$229.99
Ripe tropical fruit opens the nose, joined by toasted oak and a bright citrus edge. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with sweet, pure fruit carried by a silky, velvety texture. Lemon and mineral freshness provide shape beneath the richness, leading to a structured, persistent and immediately attractive finish.

Chateau Leoville Las Cases 1999 Saint-Julien

French Red
$589.99
Medium-bodied and classically reserved, with cranberry, cassis and black cherry joined by tobacco and damp earth. Vanilla and discreet toasted oak add polish without masking the fruit. The palate is bright and linear, with sweet tannins giving shape to a leaner profile. The finish is dry and persistent, carrying currant, cedar and tobacco through a restrained, savoury close.

Petrus 1999 Pomerol

French Red
$11,999.99
Fragrant and finely drawn, with red berries, black truffle and sage leading into plum, blackberry and a savoury touch of olive. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, balancing a velvety texture with fresh definition and finely grained tannins. Chocolate shavings and earthy detail emerge through the middle, while the finish stays poised, lyrical and persistent. A mature Pomerol of elegance rather than sheer weight, ready to enjoy with careful decanting.

Arnaud de Villeneuve 1999 Rivesaltes Ambré

French Dessert
$74.99
Fresh fig, vanilla and gently toasted dried fruit lead a mature, deeply aromatic profile. The palate is rich yet composed, bringing oxidative warmth and savoury depth into balance with lingering fruit and a measured finish. Serve lightly chilled alongside almond tart, dried-fruit cake, blue cheese or dark chocolate with roasted nuts.

Chateau Haut-Brion 1999 Pessac-Leognan

French Red

Deep red in colour, opening with red and black berries, mulberry and cherry, joined by woody vanilla, light caramel and liquorice. The palate is soft, harmonious and beautifully proportioned, with concentrated fruit and finely integrated structure. Gentle sweetness and poised freshness carry the balanced, persistent finish with exceptional charm.

Masseto 1999 Toscana IGT

Freshness keeps the scale in balance, while berry richness and quiet savoury detail build toward an exceptionally long, composed finish.

Château Mouton Rothschild 1999 Pauillac

French Red
$1,299.99
An elegant, increasingly mature expression with black currant and blackberry layered with smoke, truffle, cocoa, mocha, coffee and warm spice. The medium-bodied palate is smooth and velvety, balancing firm ripe fruit with silky tannins and a long, structured finish touched by a slight dryness. Decant for about three hours and serve with lamb stew, duck or mushrooms.

Château Lafite Rothschild 1999 Pauillac

French Red
$3,499.99
Elegant and medium-bodied, with bright red currant, cassis and cherry set against cedar, tobacco, forest leaf and gentle spice. The palate is fresh and softly textured, carrying red fruit, herbs and a measured savoury complexity through a poised finish. Stand the bottle upright, decant only as needed for sediment, and serve slightly cool with lamb, duck or mushroom dishes.
