Deep red in colour, opening with red and black berries, mulberry and cherry, joined by woody vanilla, light caramel and liquorice. The palate is soft, harmonious and beautifully proportioned, with concentrated fruit and finely integrated structure. Gentle sweetness and poised freshness carry the balanced, persistent finish with exceptional charm.

About Haut-Brion
Wine from Haut-Brion appears in written records as early as 1521. Jean de Pontac began building the present château in 1549. In the 1855 Classification, Haut-Brion was named a First Growth—the only classified red-wine estate outside the Médoc.
Regular bottling at the estate began in 1923, and Clarence Dillon acquired the property in 1935. Its red and white vines grow on a naturally draining gravel terrace in Pessac, within Pessac-Léognan.
