El Gran Enemigo 2020 Gualtallary Cabernet Franc
Deep purple colour has red highlights. Sweet spice, black pepper, eucalyptus and thyme appear with ripe black fruit, blackberry, black cherry, chocolate and vanilla. The taste is complex, with sweet impact, structured tannins and a long, persistent finish. The blend is eighty-five percent Cabernet Franc and fifteen percent Malbec, grown on deep, calcareous and rocky soil at about 1,470 metres in Gualtallary.
Silver Oak 2016 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Ruby colour and a magenta rim accompany cassis, blackberry, vanilla, sage and spearmint. Potpourri, bramble and raspberry are also present. The finish is juicy, with chewy tannins and medium length. The blend combines 94.6 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, four percent Merlot, and one-half percent each of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, with 0.4 percent Malbec. It matured for twenty-four months in American oak, half of it new.
Château Rousselle 2014 Côtes de Bourg 3 L
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Cabernet Franc make up the blend. Red and black fruit include raspberry, blueberry and cherry, alongside liquorice, thyme, rosemary and mineral notes. The wine is supple and smooth, concentrated, fruity, round and full. The finish is notably long, and the average vine age is forty years. This red comes from Côtes de Bourg in Bordeaux.

The vineyard is planted mainly to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec on limestone slopes beneath brown clay. The wine ages for twelve months in French oak barrels.
Joseph Phelps 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Ripe currant, tobacco, leather, pencil shavings and dark chocolate are joined by dark plum, blackberry and savoury spice. The full-bodied wine is rich, fleshy, dense and layered, with acid structure and depth. The blend is ninety-two percent Cabernet Sauvignon, four percent Petit Verdot, two percent Cabernet Franc, one percent Merlot and one percent Malbec. It matured for sixteen months in new and used French and American oak barrels.
Poplar Grove 2016 The Legacy
Cabernet Franc leads the blend at thirty-three percent, joined by twenty-five percent Malbec, fifteen percent Merlot, fourteen percent Cabernet Sauvignon and thirteen percent Petit Verdot. Savoury cedar, lead pencil and red fruit accompany fresh red cherry, dried herbs and dense, sweet tannins. Estate-grown grapes were hand-picked and sorted. Production included extended maceration, twenty-one months in French barriques and two years in bottle.
Burrowing Owl 2012 Malbec
Deep purple-ruby colour accompanies Bing cherry, Damson plum, blackberry, vanilla, liquorice and cocoa. The wine is medium to full in body, with silky texture and ripe, round tannins. Sweet black cherry, baked plum, pepper and wet earth are also present. Grapes were hand-harvested from the Eva Vineyard, and maturation lasted twenty-one months in mixed oak barrels.

The blend combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. It matures for eighteen months in French, American and Hungarian oak. Fruit is sourced from vineyards across Napa Valley.
Undurraga 2019 Red Field Blend
Deep garnet colour with violet hues accompanies peppermint, pepper, violets, lavender, blackberry and red fruit. Raspberry and cherry appear with firm tannins, freshness, light toast and a long finish. The field blend is mainly Malbec, with Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and País. Old dry-farmed vines grow in Maule, and the co-fermented wine spends fourteen months in mostly neutral French oak.
LUKE 2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Blackcurrant, dark cherry, pressed herbs, blackberry preserve, grilled toast and baking spice accompany a broad, dense Cabernet Sauvignon with fine-grained, layered tannins. StoneTree Vineyard supplies the fruit. The blend also includes Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot. Fermentation uses stainless-steel bins and barrels; half proceeds spontaneously. Twenty months in second-fill French oak follows. Coffee, dried herb and black cherry add further detail.
José Zuccardi 2018 Malbec
Blackberry, graphite, black pepper and crushed-berry notes accompany a full-bodied red with tight, focused tannins. The blend is ninety-five percent Malbec and five percent Cabernet Sauvignon from Paraje Altamira and Gualtallary in the Uco Valley. Selected clusters ferment with native yeasts in unlined concrete vessels. The wine matures for twenty-four months in 2,500-litre foudres and carries 14.5 percent alcohol.

Floral notes and purple fruit accompany blue and dark fruit with a savoury note. The palate is dense and rich, with black cherry, red cherry, blueberry and mocha. The acidity is lifted and the finish has a mineral character. Made entirely from Malbec, the dry red comes from Skaha Bench in the Okanagan Valley and carries fourteen and eight-tenths percent alcohol.

Catena Zapata 2020 Malbec Argentino
Made entirely from Malbec, with 20% whole clusters and 80% whole berries, the fruit is hand-loaded into new French-oak barrels. Fermentation lasts seventeen to twenty-eight days with wild yeast, low temperatures and manual cap management. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in barrel, followed by twelve to eighteen months in French oak. Fruit comes from Nicasia and Angélica vineyards.
Whitehall Lane 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Ripe red and black fruit, juicy fruit, plum and dried berry appear beside terracotta. The wine is full and concentrated, with velvety tannins and a refined, lasting finish.
