Rich dark fruit meets warm spice-cake notes in a concentrated but composed Malbec from a sunlit Naramata site. Extended French-oak ageing brings structure and savoury depth, while the fruit retains aromatic freshness and well-ripened tannins. A distinctive Okanagan red for braised beef, grilled lamb, smoky vegetables or firm aged cheese.

About Hillside Winery
Hillside Winery grew from Vera and Bohumir Klokocka’s move to the Okanagan in 1979 and their decision to replace an old apricot orchard with vines in 1984. The couple later helped press for British Columbia’s farmgate winery policy.
Twenty acres of densely planted terraces surround the winery, with selected neighbouring vineyards supplementing the estate fruit. Since the 2013 vintage, Hillside’s wines have been made entirely from Naramata Bench fruit. Small lots are handled separately, with cool fermentation for whites and open-top fermentation followed by barrel ageing for reds.
