About Amalaya
Amalaya was founded in 2010 in Argentina's Calchaquí Valley, a dramatic high-altitude landscape where dry conditions, intense sunlight and cool nights shape the vineyards around Cafayate. The name means “hope for a miracle” in an Indigenous language of the region, a reference to farming vines in this demanding environment. The winery works with organically grown grapes and uses drip irrigation.
