Giacomo Fenocchio 2020 Barolo Bussia
$147.99
Spiced rose and liquorice lead a finely drawn, savoury nose, followed by dark fruit, dried herbs, leather and a light touch of mocha. The palate is dry, warm and full-bodied, with pronounced tannins giving the wine firm shape without obscuring its aromatic detail. Freshness keeps the structure balanced, while incense and earthy notes gather through a persistent finish. Decant generously and serve with braised beef, game, truffle dishes or aged cheese.

About Giacomo Fenocchio
Giacomo Fenocchio traces its family farming history in Bussia, Monforte d'Alba, to 1864. Five generations of the family have worked here. The estate has 14 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the Barolo area, and grows Arneis at Monteu Roero.
The family follows organic farming practices without certification. Bussia, Castellero, Cannubi and Villero are bottled separately. The Bussia and Castellero Barolos ferment without added yeast and spend a long time on their grape skins before ageing in large Slavonian oak casks.
