Maison Louis Latour 2017 Pommard Premier Cru Les Epenots
$169.99
Blackcurrant, liquorice and woodland aromas lead a deep, savoury Pinot Noir profile. The palate is ample and rounded, combining dark fruit with measured oak and a return of liquorice through the mid-palate. Firm, persistent tannins provide shape without making the wine feel severe, while earthy undergrowth adds mature Burgundy character. The finish is long, structured and composed. Decant briefly and serve with duck confit, beef bourguignon or mature cheese.

About Maison Louis Latour
Maison Louis Latour has been rooted in Burgundy since 1797 and remains independent under the founding family. Its estate covers about fifty hectares, including grand cru vineyards in the Côte d'Or. Alongside its estate wines, the house selects and matures wines from other growers.
A historic gravity-fed winery and an in-house barrel workshop are part of the operation; the workshop makes French-oak barrels for the cellars. On the estate, hand harvesting, cover crops, compost made on site and non-chemical pest controls are among the practices used to care for the soils and vineyards.
