$42.99
Ruby with garnet reflections, this wine shows dried flowers, dried plum, red-fruit jam and light spice. The profile is full-bodied, balanced and drinkable. Nebbiolo and Arneis are co-fermented after soft pressing and crushing. Maceration lasts eight to ten days, and the wine spends three to four months in oak. Truffle, cherry, leather and vanilla are also present, with a long finish.

About Luigi Giordano
For four generations, Luigi Giordano's family has worked from the village of Barbaresco. Giovanni Giordano began the family business around 1900; his son Luigi later moved from growing grapes to making the family’s own wines. Today Laura Giordano and her son Matteo continue that work from vineyards clustered around the village.
Their vineyards include Cavanna, Asili, Montestefano and Ovello, with differing exposures and microclimates on Sant’Agata Fossili marl. The cellar uses steel, concrete and wood according to the wine. Alongside Barbaresco, the family makes wines from Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa and Arneis.
