Layered aromas of cherry, orange blossom, hibiscus and pressed rose open into darker berry fruit, campfire ash and a fine herbal note. Medium-bodied and tightly framed, the palate combines bright citrus-toned acidity with firm, silky tannins and a long, structured finish. Decant for roast beef, braised lamb, porcini or mature cheese.

About Azelia
Azelia’s story begins in 1920 in Castiglione Falletto, when Cavalier Lorenzo Scavino began vinifying grapes from the family’s vineyards. His son Alfonso began bottling the wines, which later reached export markets. Today Luigi Scavino works with his wife Lorella and son Lorenzo, the fifth generation at the estate.
Azelia farms about 16 hectares across Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d’Alba and Montelupo Albese, devoted to Dolcetto, Barbera and, above all, Nebbiolo. The old vines give naturally low yields, reduced further by green harvesting, and most vineyard work is carried out by hand.
