Ripe strawberry, blackberry and black cherry lead a dense, mature bouquet. Nuts, leather, vanilla and warm spice add savoury depth, with underbrush and tea emerging in the glass. The palate is full and velvety, its generous fruit shaped by fine, powerful tannins and lively acidity. Long and warming through the finish, it leaves dried berries, bitter almond, spice and a measured earthy note.

About Collemattoni
Collemattoni takes its name from a farmhouse recorded at least as early as 1672 on the southern side of Montalcino, close to Sant’Angelo in Colle. The Bucci family’s connection to the property reaches back to the late eighteenth century, and the estate is now run by Marcello Bucci with support from his family. Its Sangiovese vineyards are divided among five sites on the south-western and south-eastern sides of Montalcino, giving the cellar a range of elevations and soils to work with. Traditional Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino anchor the portfolio, joined by Riserva bottlings and Toscana IGT reds and rosé.
