Borgogno 2022 Era Ora Langhe Riesling

Petrol, quince and roasted peach appear with soft floral notes in a bone-dry Riesling. Yellow stone fruit and bright acidity accompany a wet-stone finish. Lime, apricot, yellow plum, hawthorn and menthol add further detail. Fermentation takes place mainly in steel, with a smaller oak portion, followed by time on fine lees, in steel and in bottle.

About Borgogno
Bartolomeo Borgogno founded this Barolo winery in 1761. In the 1920s, Cesare Borgogno began setting aside part of the Barolo Riserva production for release decades later, creating a cellar library that remains part of the estate’s work.
The cellar uses spontaneous fermentation in concrete and long ageing in large oak casks, chiefly made from Slavonian wood. Beyond Barolo, the estate has vineyards at Madonna di Como and in the Colli Tortonesi, where it grows Timorasso. Organic conversion started in 2015, and the first certified wines came from the 2019 harvest.
