Clos du Tue-Boeuf 2020 Le Petit Buisson

Made from Sauvignon Blanc, the wine shows ripe apple, fresh herbs, citrus and flint. It is medium-bodied and refreshing, with bright acidity, a delicate texture and a long finish. Grapes are hand harvested and gently pressed. Fermentation occurs in neutral vessels with wild yeast, followed by six months on the lees in Burgundy barriques. It is bottled without fining or filtration.

About Clos du Tue-Boeuf
Clos du Tue-Boeuf is named for a Les Montils vineyard documented since the Middle Ages, while the Puzelat family's village roots reach to the fifteenth century. Jean-Marie Puzelat returned to the family vineyard in 1990, followed by his brother Thierry in 1994. Thierry now works with his daughters Zoé and Louise following Jean-Marie’s retirement.
The estate began converting to organic farming in 1996 and harvests its grapes by hand. Fermentation relies on native yeasts, with small amounts of sulphur added at bottling only when needed. Alongside Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay and Pinot Noir, the family grows local grapes such as Menu Pineau.
