Castello di Ama 2021 Ama Chianti Classico DOCG
Italian Red
Bright ruby colour accompanies violet, redcurrant, cherry and strawberry. The palate has fruit, polished tannins and fresh acidity. The blend is ninety-six percent Sangiovese and four percent Merlot. Each variety ferments separately with ambient yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Manual pumpovers and twenty-five days of cuvaison are used for both grapes. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel before blending and ageing in second-passage fine-grained oak barrels. The estate holds Equalitas certification for sustainable viticulture.
Foppiano 2021 Estate Grown Zinfandel Russian River Valley
American Red
Red raspberry, dark fruit jam, cinnamon, clove, ripe plum, black tea and lavender oil form a layered profile. Blueberry, elderberry and cranberry accompany oak spice and baking notes. The blend is eighty-nine percent Zinfandel and eleven percent Barbera. Soft tannins, tangy acidity and a long, mouthwatering finish are also present in this firmly structured red.
Malgiacca 2021 Bianco Toscana IGT
Italian White
The blend is approximately half Trebbiano, with fifteen percent each of Vermentino and Malvasia; Grechetto, Moscato and other varieties make up the balance. Half the fruit is pressed pneumatically and half in a basket press. Fermentation takes place naturally in stainless steel without temperature control, followed by malolactic fermentation and three months on lees. Floral, fresh, mineral and savoury notes define the profile.
Laurence & Rémi Dufaitre 2021 Cuvée 1000°F Gamay Chardonnay
French Red
Gamay and Chardonnay are co-fermented in this strongly rosé-coloured red. The vines grow in sandy soils around the house, and this was the second vintage of the cuvée. Floral notes and spice accompany a fresh, juicy and flavourful profile. The wine is classified as Vin de France, comes from Beaujolais and contains twelve percent alcohol.
Domaine la Barroche 2021 Liberty Vin de France
French Red
Juicy black raspberry, violets, peppery herbs and minerality appear in a concentrated, structured profile. The blend is 52% Grenache, 18% Cinsault, 13% Mourvèdre, 12% Syrah and 5% Carignan. The vines average sixty-five years old and grow at 125 metres on sand, blue and red clay and river stones. Vinification takes place in underground concrete vats, with more than four weeks on skins. Ageing lasts twenty months in old oak casks and 600-litre barrels.
Pepe Mendoza 2021 Pureza Moscatel de Alejandría
Spanish White
Freshly cut rose, jasmine and orange blossom accompany preserved lemon, cardamom, fermented lime skin and briny notes. The palate is broad and textured, with fresh acidity and saline character. Moscatel de Alejandría is macerated with skins, fermented with native yeasts in small clay amphorae, then returned to amphora for six months. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration and contains twelve and a half percent alcohol.
Undurraga 2021 VIGNO Carignan Maule Valley
Chilean Red
Deep ruby colour accompanies raspberry, cherry, subtle smoke and black pepper. The palate carries red fruit and spice with freshness, fine tannins and balanced tension. The finish is long and persistently spicy. The blend is eighty-eight percent Carignan and twelve percent Cinsault. Its old bush vines grow on south-facing granite slopes in dry-farmed Maule countryside northeast of Cauquenes.
Gvantsa’s Wine 2021 Otskhanuri Sapere Qvevri
Georgian Red
Dark cherry, pomegranate, herbs and smoke appear in a fresh, juicy red with cool tannins and pronounced acidity. Fresh blueberry is also present. The wine is made entirely from Otskhanuri Sapere grown in Imereti. Fermentation begins spontaneously in qvevri, and maturation lasts nine months before unfiltered bottling. Its colour is dark ruby, and the profile is medium-bodied and persistent.
Mandirola 1913 2021 Derthona Colli Tortonesi Timorasso
Italian White
Deep straw colour accompanies medicinal herbs and yellow peach. The wine is made entirely from Timorasso grown on southwest-facing slopes of clay and grey limestone. Grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented under temperature control. Maturation lasts at least twelve months on fine lees in concrete. Mineral notes, ripe plum and toasted almond are also present.
Luigi Righetti 2021 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico
Italian Red
Baked plum, toasted oak, baking spice, prune, vanilla, mocha, black cherry, milk chocolate, rum raisin and cinnamon appear with smooth tannins and a rich, smooth finish. Corvina makes up eighty percent of the blend, with ten percent Rondinella and ten percent Molinara. The wine contains fifteen percent alcohol and receives oak maturation. The full-bodied style is dry.
Halarà 2021 Rosato Terre Siciliane IGT
Italian Rosé
Bright, intense rosé colour accompanies small red fruits, blood orange and citrus notes. The palate is fresh, dry and savoury. Parpato and Catarratto come from two hectares of north-facing vineyards in Contrada Abbadessa near Marsala, with clay and limestone soils. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. Six Italian winegrowers created the project after restoring an old vineyard, and the wine contains 11.5% alcohol.
Pietradolce 2021 Archineri Etna Bianco DOC
Italian White
The aroma is full and distinct, with white peach, lemon, lime and sage. The mouthfeel is intense, with stony, chalky minerals and fine texture from gentle lees stirring. Carricante comes from vines more than a century old, planted on sandy loam above 850 metres on Etna. Grapefruit, herbs, freshness and a long finish are also present. The wine contains 13.5% alcohol.
Famille Perrin 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Sinards
French Red
The profile includes red and blue berries, wild dry herbs and a meaty note. Red and black fruit, spice and a long finish are also present. Fruit from vines under twenty years old at Beaucastel and two neighbouring vineyards ferments in wooden and stainless-steel vats. The wines are tasted to determine the final blend, then matured in foudres for two years.
La Visciola 2021 Donna Rosa Passerina del Frusinate White Wine
Italian White
Passerina from vines more than sixty years old forms the wine. Eighty percent of the fruit is pressed directly, while twenty percent macerates until the sugars are exhausted. Spontaneous fermentation and malolactic conversion take place in stainless steel. Ageing lasts fifteen to eighteen months in stainless steel. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, with three milligrams per litre of total sulphur. Production totals about three thousand bottles.
Le Piane 2021 Bianko Erbaluce White Wine
Italian White
Erbaluce forms the wine. The crop is pressed in a vertical press, and fermentation takes place at twenty degrees Celsius in 1,600-litre acacia and oak vessels and in cement tanks, without added sulphites. Ten percent of the wine receives maceration for as long as one hundred days. Bottling takes place in September with a small sulphite addition below forty milligrams per litre.
De Fermo 2021 Don Carlino Pecorino Colline Pescaresi IGT
Italian White
The colour is intense straw yellow. Ripe yellow fruit, aromatic herbs and light spice are present. The wine is made entirely from Pecorino grown on limestone and clay soils at about 290 metres. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts. Maturation lasts nine to twelve months in tonneaux, large casks and concrete tanks. The wine is neither fined nor filtered.
Baldovar 923 2021 Rascaña Merseguera-Macabeo Orange Wine
Spanish White
The colour is bright yellow with golden reflections. Peach, apricot, lavender and pine resin appear with salinity and earthiness. The palate is velvety, fluid, fresh, tense and voluminous. The blend is seventy percent Merseguera and thirty percent Macabeo. Skin contact and spontaneous fermentation are used. Maturation lasts ten months in stainless steel, used 500-litre barrels and a 250-litre clay vessel.
Forjas del Salnés 2021 Goliardo Tintos de Mar Rías Baixas
Spanish Red
Black pepper, herbs and flowers appear with a wild character. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple tannins, fine silky texture, freshness and a long finish with a salty note. Caíño Tinto, Loureiro, Espadeiro and Sousón form the blend. The grapes come from old vines planted on pebbly, sandy and granitic soils. Maturation lasts twelve months in oak barrels and large foudres.
Sandy Giovese 2021 Vino Rosso 3 L Bag-in-Box

Bright red cherry and violets accompany a light body and very fine tannins. The blend is eighty-five percent Sangiovese and fifteen percent Trebbiano, and alcohol is twelve percent. The grapes are grown in Le Marche on Italy's Adriatic coast. The name plays on Sangiovese, an ancient red grape of central Italy. The profile is fresh, smooth and easy-drinking.
Rosie Giovese 2021 Vino Rosato 3 L Bag-in-Box
Italian Rosé
Fresh strawberry and nectarine skin appear in a crisp, pale-pink profile. Sangiovese accounts for sixty percent of the blend, Merlot thirty percent and Lacrima ten percent. The style is bone-dry yet fruity, and alcohol is twelve and a half percent. Lacrima is identified as a grape native to Le Marche, where this still rosé is made.
Bibi Graetz 2021 Casamatta Rosso Toscana IGT
Italian Red
Fresh red fruit and soft tannins accompany a vibrant profile. Sangiovese comes from younger vineyards between Florence and Siena. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel for no more than one week without post-fermentation maceration. The separate vineyard lots are blended and mature for six months in stainless steel before bottling. The wine carries the Toscana IGT designation.
Fossacolle 2021 Riesci Rosso di Toscana IGT
Italian Red
Ripe, intense fruit accompanies broad structure and velvety tannins. The blend is forty percent Merlot, thirty percent Cabernet Sauvignon and thirty percent Petit Verdot. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel and cement for fourteen days. Maturation lasts twelve months, with eighty percent in new barriques and twenty percent in second-use barrels. Alcohol is fourteen and a half percent, and production totals four thousand bottles.
Marco Tinessa 2021 Vino Rosso
Italian Red
The profile is rich, with explosive, fragrant fruit, pulp and juice alongside rustic and earthy notes. Aglianico comes from vines averaging twelve years old, with yields of about sixty hectolitres per hectare. Fermentation is spontaneous in fibreglass tanks, followed by four months in stoneware amphorae. Total sulphur dioxide is twenty milligrams per litre, and production totals about fourteen hundred bottles.

American Red
Deep garnet colour accompanies fresh raspberry, cherry, barrel spice, clay minerals and mint. Sweet red-berry fruit, lively acidity, supple tannins and a medium body accompany a long finish. The blend is seventy-three percent Zinfandel, fifteen percent Petite Sirah, ten percent Carignane and two percent Grenache. Native primary and malolactic fermentations precede eleven months in American oak, including five percent new barrels.

Austrian White
Pale yellow-green colour with silver reflections accompanies tobacco, herbal spice, grapefruit zest, Nashi pear and dark mineral notes. White pome fruit, fresh acidity, lime and a mineral-salty finish are also present. Furmint from the Turner and Vogelsang sites grows on loamy sand with gravel, grey quartz and slate. Natural fermentation takes place in acacia; maturation lasts ten months in large acacia casks.
Domaine des Marnes Blanches 2021 Les Molates Savagnin Côtes du Jura
French White
White flowers, fresh herbs, parsley, eucalyptus and cut grass appear with coriander seed, toasted sesame and wasabi. The palate includes Granny Smith apple, spiced pear, rhubarb and marinated plum, with lively acidity and an energetic finish. Savagnin grows on white Lias marl. Fermentation uses indigenous yeast without added sulphur, and maturation lasts one year, mainly in foudres. Serve at 12°C.
Marziano Abbona 2021 Papà Celso Dogliani
Italian Red
Rich and well structured, the Dolcetto offers red and black fruit on a balanced, harmonious palate. Light acidity and subtle tannins accompany pulpy fruit, and the wine can continue to develop in bottle for many years. It is made entirely from Dolcetto and carries Organic classification. Suggested pairings include pasta with ragù, white meat and medium-aged cheeses.
Tenuta di Arceno 2021 Campolupi Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG
Italian Red
Violets, ripe plum and black pepper appear with blueberry, cassis, sage and rosemary. The palate is full-bodied, with racy acidity from Sangiovese and round intensity from Colorino. Cedar and forest floor mark the lingering finish. The inaugural dry release comes from high-elevation blocks at 550 metres and combines ninety-five percent Sangiovese with five percent Colorino.
Domaine Seguin-Manuel 2021 Viré-Clessé
French White
Gold in colour, the Chardonnay combines fruit, mineral and floral notes. The palate is straightforward and concentrated, with ripe fruit and a delicate, lively mineral finish. Old vines grow on east-facing limestone-and-clay slopes in Viré. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by nine months of maturation in French oak casks. Viré lies north of Mâcon and fifty miles south of Beaune.
Maison en Belles Lies 2021 Bourgogne Aligoté
French White
Aligoté from Saint-Aubin grows on white limestone soils. Whole clusters are pressed directly and cold-settled for three days. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by fifteen months of maturation, thirty percent in tank and seventy percent in 350-litre barrels. The white wine is unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulphur added before bottling.
