Freshly cut rose, jasmine and orange blossom accompany preserved lemon, cardamom, fermented lime skin and briny notes. The palate is broad and textured, with fresh acidity and saline character. About Pepe Mendoza Casa Agrícola
Pepe Mendoza established Casa Agrícola in Llíber after more than 25 years working in Alicante. His experience also includes travels through Chile, New Zealand and Argentina in the 1990s. The cellar occupies a building dating from 1900, surrounded by 12 hectares of Giró and Moscatel Romano planted between 1920 and 1970.
The terraced vineyards, edged by dry-stone walls, are farmed organically without irrigation. Giró and Moscatel Romano are central to the estate’s work with local grape varieties. Some of its small-production wines are made in amphorae.
