AboutGlenfarclas

John Grant bought Glenfarclas Distillery and Recherlich Farm in 1865, beginning a family stewardship that remains independent generations later. A nineteenth-century partnership with the Pattison firm ended in financial strain for the business. Decades later, George Stanley Grant chose to build stocks for Glenfarclas’s own bottlings, laying the groundwork for The Family Casks collection.

The distillery uses spring water from Ben Rinnes and distils its malt twice in direct-fired stills. Its cask selection includes European oak seasoned with Oloroso sherry, sourced from a family-run Spanish bodega.
