Averill Creek Vineyard
Averill Creek 2021 Piquette Rouge 473 mL
Blackberry, currant and a savoury herbal note lead this lightly sparkling red, with vivid colour and the wild-fruit character of Maréchal Foch. Rehydrated red-wine pressings ferment naturally before a small dosage creates a gentle spritz in the can. The palate is juicy, tart and low in alcohol, finishing fresh rather than heavy. Serve well chilled with noodle dishes, charcuterie, grilled vegetables or picnic fare.
Averill Creek 2021 Piquette Blanc 473 mL
Pineapple, melon and tart citrus lead this lightly sparkling white, with the fragrant lift of Gewürztraminer and a fresh, hazy character. Rehydrated grape pressings ferment in used oak before settling, then a small dosage creates a gentle spritz in the can. The palate stays bright, low in alcohol and clean through the finish. Serve well chilled with noodle dishes, picnic fare, fresh salads or soft cheese.
Averill Creek 2019 Pinot Grigio
Crisp and bright, with plenty of lime zest and a hint of buttercream. Delicate floral notes accompany sweet apple, pear and honeydew melon. Citrus and green apple appear on a refreshing palate. The wine is light, lively and unoaked. This Vancouver Island Pinot Grigio has substance rather than a watery texture and can accompany barbecued prawns, a zingy salad, light seafood, shellfish, pasta or risotto.
Averill Creek NV Charme de l’Île
Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir from Vancouver Island are made as a Charmat-method sparkling wine, with secondary fermentation in tank. The style is brisk, fresh and lively. Green apple, citrus and mineral notes meet light florals, pear, honey and an herbal savoury note. The palate is light, and the finish is crisp and zesty. The fruit comes from Cowichan Valley.
Averill Creek Vineyard 2021 Somenos Traminer
Gewürztraminer comes from an exposed, sloping area near the top of the estate vineyard. The site combines alluvial Royston-Qualicum soil with sandy loam and is dry-farmed using permacultural and regenerative practices. The vineyard lies on the mid-slope of Mount Prevost in the Cowichan Valley. Its elevation ranges from 118 to 240 metres within Vancouver Island’s dry-summer climate.
Averill Creek Rosé Vermouth
Linden blossom and pineapple weed give the aroma a gently floral, meadow-like character, joined by pink peppercorn and a hint of star anise. The palate is bright and lightly honeyed, with fresh herbal tones from nettle and tea balanced by cardamom spice and clean acidity. Its sweetness is measured, allowing the botanicals to remain precise. The finish is fragrant, gently bitter and refreshing. Serve chilled over ice, with soda or in a spritz.
Averill Creek 2021 Joue Red
Juicy blackberry, blueberry and raspberry lead, with wild herbs and earthy notes adding savoury depth. Pinot Noir, Gamay and Marechal Foch bring bright fruit, lively acidity and fine, medium tannins to a textured, energetic palate. The finish stays fresh and lightly rustic, making this cool-climate red a natural match for charcuterie, roast pork, grilled mushrooms or lentil dishes.
Averill Creek 2021 Pinot Noir
Tart red fruit leads with delicate berry fragrance and an earthy tobacco note. The palate is light to medium in body, balancing freshness with a quietly structured feel. Fine acidity keeps the fruit vivid, while savoury earth and gentle spice add dimension through a clean, composed finish that remains bright rather than weighty.
Averill Creek 2024 Joue White
Jasmine tea leads a clean, aromatic nose, followed by precise layers of fruit. Structured, textured and lightly saline, the palate begins with vibrancy before softening through a rounder middle. Fine, talc-like acidity brings shape and length to the finish. Serve with grilled prawns, sashimi, aromatic salads, soft cheeses or lightly spiced vegetable dishes.
