Viña Costeira 2023 Tamborá Godello Ribeiro
Spanish White
Greenish yellow with golden reflections, showing white fruit, apple, pear, floral and botanical notes over a mineral background. The palate is balanced, broad and unctuous, with a glyceric, persistent finish and a herbal aftertaste. Godello is hand harvested in eighteen-kilogram boxes in San Cibrao. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at eighteen degrees, followed by four to six months on lees and maturation in tank. The sandy, granite-origin soils contain schist.

Spanish White
Clean, bright lemon-yellow colour carries golden highlights. Lime, floral notes and a herbaceous background accompany a fresh palate with good volume and a citrus finish. Godello grows in alluvial soils that combine clay, sand and pebbles. The wine spends three months on its lees without oak and contains 13% alcohol. This young white comes from Bierzo in northwestern Spain.

Spanish White
Light yellow in colour, the wine offers pear and liquorice with floral, white-fruit and mineral notes. The palate has richness and a light oily texture without heaviness, supported by crisp acidity and slate-like minerality through the finish. Godello provides the full composition. Maturation lasts five months on fine lees, with seventy percent in stainless steel and thirty percent in used five-hundred-litre French oak barrels.

Spanish Red
Pale ruby colour accompanies raspberry, redcurrant and tart strawberry, with floral, herbal, saline and citrus notes. The palate has freshness, firm tannic structure and mineral character. Mencía is joined by Doña Blanca, Palomino, Godello and Alicante Bouschet from a single old-vine parcel. The varieties ferment together with whole stems, followed by eight months in 800-litre amphorae. Alcohol is eleven and a half percent.

Spanish White
Citrus and apricot accompany toasted sunflower seeds and light chamomile. The profile is complex and mineral, with length. Godello comes from a thirty-five-year-old vineyard on sandy soils in Pieros at about 500 metres. The grapes are harvested by hand. Destemmed fruit ferments and matures for nine months in 225-, 500- and 600-litre French oak barrels.
