AboutFaustino Rivero Ulecia

Faustino Rivero Ulecia grew from the small cellar Olegario Rivero opened in Arnedo, La Rioja, in 1899. The business once sold its wine locally in skins and barrels; over five generations it became the founding winery of Grupo Marqués del Atrio.

Brothers Manuel and Jorge Rivero joined in 2008, with Manuel overseeing operations and Jorge the commercial side. The family’s winemaking now reaches beyond Rioja to other Spanish regions, including the Atlantic-influenced areas of Rías Baixas and Bierzo.

Spanish White
$43.99
Clean, bright lemon-yellow colour carries golden highlights. Lime, floral notes and a herbaceous background accompany a fresh palate with good volume and a citrus finish. Godello grows in alluvial soils that combine clay, sand and pebbles. The wine spends three months on its lees without oak and contains 13% alcohol. This young white comes from Bierzo in northwestern Spain.
