Dry and finely structured, this Bierzo white combines Doña Blanca and Godello from old bush vines in Valtuille de Abajo. Pear and melon sit over a light waxy note, while bright acidity keeps the palate taut and clean. Native-yeast fermentation and time on the lees add quiet texture without dulling the wine’s freshness. Serve with shellfish, grilled fish or fresh cheeses.

About José Antonio García
José Antonio García returned from Barcelona to Bierzo in 2010, taking up the vineyard tradition begun by his grandfather Santos in Valtuille de Abajo. Working with his wife and winemaking partner, Julia Peña, he rebuilt the project around old family parcels in Valtuille and the steeper country of Corullón.
The old bush vines are farmed organically and largely by hand, with missing plants replanted. Native yeasts set fermentations in motion, with steel, larger wooden vessels and lees ageing used across the range.
