About Marchisio Family Organic Estate
The Marchisio family has worked the hills of Roero since the end of the nineteenth century. Sergio Marchisio guides the estate, while his sons Fabio and Ivo handle daily vineyard and cellar work with the wider family and a technical team. Sergio has explored sparkling Arneis and the use of amphorae for Nebbiolo.
Organic and biodynamic principles guide the vineyard work, which includes weather monitoring and natural treatments. Arneis, Barbera and Nebbiolo lead the plantings, on soils that include calcareous marl and sandy alluvial deposits.
