Domaine des Tourelles 2022 Vieilles Vignes Merweh & Obeidi

Pale gold in colour, the wine has aromas of white peach, chamomile and flint. Quince, pear and citrus peel appear with dried herbs, honey and almond. The finish is long and savoury, with nuttiness and mineral lift. Merweh and Obeidi are cold-fermented separately with wild yeasts. The components are blended and stored briefly in stainless steel. Alcohol is eleven percent.

About Domaine des Tourelles
Domaine des Tourelles was founded in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley in 1868 by François-Eugène Brun, who established a cellar for both wine and arak. The Issa and Issa-el-Khoury families now lead the estate, with Faouzi Issa as winemaker.
Cinsault, Merweh and Obeidi feature in its old-vine wines, made from hand-picked grapes fermented with native yeasts. Alongside its wines and arak, the estate distils gin from Lebanese botanicals and rests it in clay jars.
