Coonawarra

Ripe berry fruit is joined by spice and a hint of pepper in a dry, full-bodied style. Oak is integrated rather than dominant, and tannins are present on the palate. The Shiraz is a modern Coonawarra expression with medium-to-full body and generous flavour. The Coonawarra setting has terra rossa soils over limestone and a cool climate.

Ripe cherry and bramble are joined by savoury lavender and spice. Dark berries, cedar and earthy notes are also present, alongside fresh acidity and malleable tannins. Made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Coonawarra, the wine contains 13.7 percent alcohol. The local railway siding that influenced the area’s early settlement gives the cuvée its name.
