Colchagua Valley
Puente Austral 2021 Reserva Privada Cabernet Sauvignon
Ripe redcurrant, cassis, cranberry-cherry and red plum meet vanilla and oak spice. The dry palate is medium to medium-full in body, with fresh acidity and smooth, creamy, fine-grained tannins. Savoury earthy oak and mineral notes accompany a long finish. Made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile’s Colchagua Valley, the wine spends six months in third-use French barrels.
Viña Montes 2009 Montes Alpha M Colchagua Valley
Dark wild-berry confit, ripe cherry and herbal savouriness lead the documented profile, joined by eucalyptus and cocoa. The palate is juicy and complex, with vivid, integrated tannins carrying the wine through a fruit-led finish. The recorded blend is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Deep colour and pronounced acidity are also recorded.
