Plum, cherry and blueberry give Clos Apalta its rich fruit core, with dried fig and black pepper adding depth. Carménère leads this blend from Apalta, joined by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate opens generously, then builds around polished, velvety tannins. Concentrated fruit carries into a long finish with a warm, spicy edge.

About Lapostolle
Lapostolle was founded in Chile in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband, Cyril de Bournet. The winery draws on a French family tradition in wine and spirits dating to 1827. Apalta, in the Colchagua Valley, is home to old vines in a sheltered, amphitheatre-shaped landscape. Organic and biodynamic practices form part of the estate's long-term approach to vineyard health and biodiversity.
