AboutMaturana Winery

Maturana Winery took shape after Chile’s 2010 earthquake, when brothers José Ignacio and Sebastián Maturana joined their family in building a new wine project. José Ignacio leads the winemaking, while Sebastián runs the commercial side.

They work with old vineyards in central Chile and heritage grapes including País, Torontel, Semillón and San Francisco. Concrete, clay amphorae and French oak are chosen to suit the grape and its origin.

Puente Austral 2021 Reserva Privada Cabernet Sauvignon

Chilean Red
$21.99
Ripe redcurrant, cassis, cranberry-cherry and red plum meet vanilla and oak spice. The dry palate is medium to medium-full in body, with fresh acidity and smooth, creamy, fine-grained tannins. Savoury earthy oak and mineral notes accompany a long finish. Made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile's Colchagua Valley, the wine spends six months in third-use French barrels.
