Black fruit, earth, tobacco leaf, toasted alder and smoke appear with ripeness and density. The tannins are fine and chalky. The hand-harvested Syrah is 70 to 100 percent destemmed. Primary-fruit freshness is retained. Blackberry, pepper, plum and damson add further detail. The wine is certified Organic, contains thirteen percent alcohol and comes from France’s Rhône Valley.
