Morello cherry, blackberry, black cherry, vanilla and small fresh-fruit notes are present. The wine is bright ruby red. The palate is warm and soft, with medium structure, balanced tannins, freshness and aromatic persistence. Sangiovese is harvested by hand from the Rossa and d’Oriente vineyards. Fermentation in concrete lasts fourteen to sixteen days. The wine spends twelve months in lightly toasted large barrels.
