Pelle 2018 Salon Rouge Morogues
100% Pinot Noir grown on Kimmeridgian marl and limestone. Aged in a combo of 70% wood *Foudres and used 400L barrels) and 30% tank for 12 months.
The terroir of the village of Morogues combined with strict vineyard practices results in a beautiful Pinot that would not be out of place in a tasting of Volnays.
Clos De Nines 2018 L’Oree
A ripe and expressive southern French red showing generous aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and plum layered with garrigue herbs, cracked pepper, and a hint of cocoa. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with supple, rounded tannins and a warm, fruit-driven core balanced by subtle spice and Mediterranean earthiness. Plush yet composed, finishing long and gently savoury with lingering dark fruit and herbal lift.
Hospitien 2019 S.S. Riesling Kabinett
In 1805, Napoleon issued an imperial edict which consolidated all the various hospitals in Trier; homes for lepers, for the poor and orphanages. This was the beginnings of the foundation of the United Hospices, Vereinigte Hospitien, which was then part of the French Empire. Over 25 hectares of vineyards are cultivated mainly thanks to endowments and gifts, and are situated in the Saar and Mosel.
This beautiful expression of dry Riesling is versatile. Enjoy with seared scallops to Japanese curry. Honeyed petrol and white peach dominate the nose and palate.
