Cave de Lugny Cremant de Bourgogne Millesimee 2016

$37.99
50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir. This exceptionally priced Burgundian sparkler offers a terrific chance to try a relatively rare commodity in our market. This Gold Medal-winning bubbly (Concours des Vins Burgondia) has suggestions of toasted bread and nuts on both the nose and palate, with tangy citrus and a hint of tea. Well-balanced, crisp and refreshing.

Vecchia Cantina Chianti Riserva 2016

$27.99
This terrific Tuscan value comes from carefully selected grapes 400 metres above sea level on top of a limestone ridge adjacent to the ancient village of Montepulciano. The grapes are hand harvested and after a traditional vinification it spends 2 years in oak. Aromatic, expressive and round, this vintage offers loads of Sangiovese character in a succulent, mid-weight style that will find plenty of admirers. The balance of the texture and freshness makes for a compelling Chianti to drink now and over the next few years. All and all, a terrific Tuscan value!

Marcoux Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2012/15/16

$104.99
93pts Vinous: Highly perfumed red fruit liqueur, potpourri and Moroccan spice scents show impressive vivacity and focus. Sappy, alluringly sweet and precise, offering palate-staining raspberry and floral pastille flavors and a hint of spice cake. Closes very long and smooth, displaying excellent focus, even tannins and emphatic, floral-tinged persistence. – Josh Raynolds (Vinous)

Chateau d’Aydie Madiran 2016

$59.99
Deep, intense ruby red. Fine, elegant and complex on the nose, with a blend of black fruit and coffee aromas. It starts off rich and follows through with a mature consistency and silky tannins. Fine, precise woody mouth aromas. An exceptional Madiran, powerful and complex, with unusual potential. This wine can very easily be kept for 7 to 10 years.

Reverdito Barolo Ascheri 2016

$129.99
Vineyard: La Morra Production: 4,000 bottles Soil: Marl Barolo produced here is best described as “warm-hearted”. Michele’s Barolo Ascheri comes from the classic chalky soils of La Morra about 250 meters up the steep hillside, inter-planted with several types of grasses and beans to aid biodiversity and soil structure. The resulting wine has an enticing nose of flowers, ripe strawberries and dark cherries, and a good mouthful of plummy ripe elegant fruit. This deceptively mid-weight Barolo has a ton to offer.

Reverdito Barolo Castagni 2016

$99.99
Vineyard: La Morra Production: 6,000 bottles Soil: Marl & Limestone Castagni vineyard lies at an altitude of 370 to 450 metres above sea level. Given the near perfect vintage, the 2016 Castagni offers beautiful drinking now but will most certainly reward cellaring. Incredible value for money here in such a pricey and sought after vintage. Lots of typical dark morello cherry and forest fruit, sweet spice and leather with a more savoury, smoky finish and firm but rounded tannins. This is a remarkably harmonious young Barolo.

Reverdito Langhe Nascetta 2016

$38.99
A rich floral bouquet with notes of yellow apple, white peach and grapefruit. Rich and persistent on the palate with good acidity and freshness.
