The estate was established in 1911 when Johann Josef Prüm formed his own property from a division of the family’s Mosel holdings. Based in Bernkastel-Wehlen, it remains in Prüm family hands, with Manfred, Wolfgang and Katharina Prüm among the owners.
The twenty-two-hectare estate is devoted entirely to Riesling, with holdings in slate sites including Wehlener and Zeltinger Sonnenuhr, Graacher Himmelreich, Bernkasteler Badstube and Bernkasteler Lay. Its range includes Kabinett, Spätlese and Auslese Rieslings.

German White
Riesling comes from the steep, south-southwest-facing Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard on weathered grey slate. Grapes are hand picked and fermented in stainless steel with wild yeast. Fine fruit, refreshing acidity and delicate minerality form a balanced profile. Slate and flowers appear with peach and lime, while the texture is silky and the finish is long. Alcohol is seven-and-a-half percent.
