Paul Gardner and Julie Rennie began Pentâge in 1996 after buying an abandoned orchard, then planted Vista Ridge Vineyard the following spring. A small lot of Syrah in 1999 became their inaugural vintage. Paul directs the vineyard and winemaking, while Julie manages operations.
Paul carved a natural rock cellar of roughly 5,000 square feet into the property for production and ageing. The vineyards are worked by hand, and the winery makes a range of varieties in small lots, with bottle ageing before release.
Pentage 2023 Pinot Gris
Canadian White
Ripe stone fruit and zesty citrus open a clean, inviting nose. The palate brings nectarine, sun-warmed peach and tangy citrus together in a crisp, medium-bodied frame. Smooth texture gives the fruit breadth, while refreshing acidity keeps the wine bright, direct and neatly balanced through the finish.
Pentâge 2024 Pinot Gris
Canadian White
Pale straw in colour, with a mineral, peach-pit bouquet. The wine is medium-bodied and dry, carrying peach and melon flavours into a crisp lemon finish with great length. The fruit comes from Washington. The producer's Pinot Gris is made entirely in stainless steel, and documented pairing suggestions include Asian salad, seafood platters, roasted chicken and pork.
Pentâge Winery 2018 Gewürztraminer
Canadian White
Baked apple, poached pear, tangerine and pink grapefruit appear in a spicy, fruit-led profile. The wine is full-bodied and off-dry, with grapefruit, lemon and apple character. It ferments in stainless steel and spends two months on the lees. Gewürztraminer comes from the Skaha Bench in the Okanagan Valley. Serve it cool with spicy noodles or sweet-and-sour chicken.
Pentâge Winery 2024 Chardonnay
White
Green apple, pear, white peach and bright citrus define the aromas. The palate offers lively pear and citrus flavours, subtle tropical fruit and a hint of vanilla from light oak. Crisp acidity supports a clean, polished finish. Made from Chardonnay, the fruit is grown in the United States and the wine is crafted in British Columbia. It contains fourteen percent alcohol.
Pentage 2024 Sauvignon Blanc
White
Tropical fruit, grapefruit and bright citrus lead the profile. The palate is fresh and fruit-driven, with tropical and citrus flavours over gentle acidity. Fermented entirely in stainless steel, the wine is crisp and zesty with a clean finish. The Sauvignon Blanc fruit was grown in the United States, and the wine was crafted in British Columbia. Alcohol is 12 percent.
Pentâge 2013 GSM
Canadian Red
Syrah and Grenache each account for forty percent of the blend, with Mourvèdre making up the remaining twenty percent. Red fruit and savoury, meaty notes accompany red cherry, liquorice, olive, fresh pepper and spice. The palate enters with fresh, high acidity. Maturation lasts eighteen months in a combination of new and neutral French oak. The wine comes from Skaha Bench in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.

Canadian Red
Fresh raspberry, juicy plum and cherry appear with spice and soft oak. Bright red berries, ripe plum and blackcurrant accompany smooth tannins and balanced acidity. The field blend contains 22 percent Merlot, 22 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 15 percent Petite Sirah, 14 percent Tempranillo, 12 percent Cabernet Franc, 10 percent Syrah and 5 percent Malbec. The wine carries 13.5 percent alcohol and a medium-plus body.
Pentâge 2018 GSM Dirty Dozen Vineyard
Canadian Red
Bright raspberry, ripe red cherry, cranberry and black cherry accompany baking spice. The medium-bodied palate has soft, silky tannins and gentle structure. Grenache accounts for forty-seven percent of the blend, with forty-three percent Mourvèdre and ten percent Syrah. Each variety spends fifteen months in oak barrels, twenty percent new, and the finished wine records 13.5 percent alcohol.
Pentâge 2023 Gamay Noir
Canadian Red
Cassis and black plum lead, with forest floor, pepper and baking spice adding a darker savoury edge. The palate is light-bodied yet concentrated, balancing juicy acidity with soft, suede-like tannins and fresh dark fruit. Gently spiced through the finish, it works well with roast chicken, pork tenderloin, grilled mushrooms or lentil dishes.

Canadian Red
Ripe raspberry, blueberry and dark berries lead with peppery spice. The palate is medium-full and expressive, layering blackberry and cherry with a hint of anise and gentle white pepper. Fine tannins give the juicy fruit shape, while the elegant but bold character carries into a powerful, lively finish.
