Fermentation took place in puncheon and amphora. The wine spent five months in a mix of forty percent amphora, forty percent puncheon and twenty percent third-fill Hungarian oak. The fruit comes from Zillah Vineyard in Washington's Rattlesnake Hills.

Zinfandel forms eighty-five percent of the blend, with Petite Sirah and Syrah composing the remainder. The wine is deep ruby-black, with licorice, cherry, baking spice and black pepper. Maturation takes place in French and American oak, twenty-five percent new.
