Spanish Red
Red fruits include sour cherry and cranberry, joined by blackcurrant, wildflowers, potpourri, liquorice, pepper, petrichor, smoke and volcanic mineral character. The palate is saline, savoury and richly flavoured, with firm but not grippy tannins and a long, tangy finish. Mixed red grapes from Taganana parcels ferment separately in concrete or plastic vats, then mature in neutral oak for eleven months.
Borja Pérez 2020 Ignios Orígenes Listán Negro
Spanish Red
Textural, deep and complex, this red is made from old-vine, ungrafted Listán Negro grown in the Bellavista Norte parcel. Whole stems ferment in concrete before twelve months in a four-year-old foudre. The wine comes from Tenerife's Ycoden-Daute-Isora appellation. Its northern Tenerife setting includes volcanic soils, Atlantic conditions and Alisios winds. Production totals 2,584 bottles.
Envínate 2021 Migan Tinto
Spanish Red
High-toned strawberry and red fruit open with a smoky volcanic edge. The palate is vibrant and finely structured, with refreshing acidity and precise tannins keeping the fruit taut and energetic. Whole-cluster fermentation in concrete adds savoury depth without obscuring the wine's brightness. Mineral detail gathers through the centre, leading to a focused finish of strawberry, smoke, fine spice and cool stone.

Serve lightly cool with roast poultry, grilled pork, lentils or simply seasoned vegetables.
Suertes del Marqués 2018 La Solana
Spanish Red
Wild raspberry and sour cherry lead, with pink peppercorn, scrubby florals, smoked herbs and graphite adding volcanic character. The palate is light-bodied and fresh, framed by fine, slightly sticky tannins and lifted by lively acidity. A saline, savoury finish makes it especially good slightly cool with grilled pork, roast mushrooms or charcuterie.
