Cantine Olivella 2024 Lacrimabianco

Fresh flowers, fresh fruit and aromatic herbs accompany mineral notes. The palate is fresh and silky, with fruity, savoury and mineral elements. The blend is eighty percent Caprettone and twenty percent Catalanesca. Ungrafted vines are farmed organically on sandy volcanic soils between 300 and 600 metres in Sant’Anastasia and Somma Vesuviana. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel.

About Cantine Olivella
Andrea Cozzolino, Ciro Giordano and Domenico Ceriello founded Cantine Olivella in 2004 at Sant’Anastasia on Monte Somma, on the northern side of Vesuvius. Giordano’s family brings four generations of farming and winemaking experience to the project.
Sandy volcanic vineyards are planted with Campanian varieties including Catalanesca, Caprettone, Piedirosso and Aglianico. Its work with Catalanesca has helped restore this local table grape’s place in winemaking.
