About Hedges
Tom Hedges and Anne-Marie Liégeois entered the wine trade in 1986, initially shipping West Coast wines to Taiwan; their first shipment under the Hedges Cellars name followed in 1987. In 1989 they purchased fifty acres on Red Mountain and planted forty acres to Bordeaux varieties. The chateau sits among the estate vineyards.
Their daughter Sarah Hedges Goedhart joined full time in 2006 and became head winemaker in 2015. The estate began converting to biodynamic farming in 2008.
