Hedges Family Estate 2008 Red Mountain Blend Washington
American Red
Black cherry, blackberry, cassis and plum jam form a dark, concentrated core. Toast, smoke, cola, root beer and liquorice bring layered oak complexity, with cinnamon, clove and a savoury hint of smoked meat underneath. Full-bodied and firmly structured, the red blend finishes long and lightly earthy, with bright acidity keeping the richness composed.
