La Perdida 2020 Malas Uvas
$61.99
Green apple and peach skin lead into dried flowers, ginger and a touch of sage. The palate is dry and lively, with a gently cloudy, textured feel, brisk acidity and a salty, earthy mineral edge. Savoury and characterful without losing freshness, it is especially good with steamed mussels, roast vegetables or firm cheese.

About La Perdida
Biologist José Ignacio 'Nacho' González made his first La Perdida wines in 2012 in Larouco, Ourense. The catalyst was O Trancado, an old family parcel passed down by his grandmother and the vineyard that gave one of the estate's wines its name. He went on to restore abandoned hillside plots around Valdeorras, working by hand to recover mixed plantings of local grapes.
The vineyards are worked without chemical treatments. In the cellar, no sulphur or other winemaking products are added, and the wines are bottled without fining or filtration. The range includes wines made in amphora and older wooden vessels, with spontaneous fermentation and ageing adapted to each parcel.
