Woodland berries, wild herbs and rose lead, with eucalyptus and roasted coffee adding savoury depth. The palate is linear and full-bodied, bringing dried cherry, liquorice and a distinctly salty mineral note into focus. Firm, close-grained tannins carry the wine toward a tight, dry and concentrated finish.

About Paolo Scavino
Paolo Scavino was founded in Castiglione Falletto in 1921 by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo. Enrico Scavino expanded the family’s vineyards across the Barolo zone, with his daughters Enrica and Elisa representing the fourth generation.
Grapes from different sites are made into wine separately, then selected for single-vineyard bottlings or the house Barolo. The house Barolo brings together grapes from selected plots in seven vineyard sites. It ferments with native yeasts and matures in neutral French oak and large casks, followed by further ageing in steel and bottle.
