Weingut Beurer 2022 Trollinger Trocken

German Red
$39.99

Trollinger grows on Bunter Mergel and Kieselsandstein soils below the Pulvermacher vineyard. The old vines cover 1.2 hectares on a steep, south-facing slope. Most clusters are destemmed and given a cold maceration. After several days, some juice is bled for rosé and the remainder is warmed for fermentation. The wine receives a short élevage before bottling with minimal sulphur. The finished red is lighter-bodied and unoaked.

It carries organic certification under DE-ÖKO-006 and is sealed with a screw cap. Classified as Schwäbischer Landwein, it comes from Württemberg and sits within the VDP.Gutswein tier.

Weingut Beurer 2023 Schilfsandstein Riesling

German White
$59.99

Clear straw yellow colour accompanies ripe pear, peach, vegetal notes and dill. The palate has gentle acidity, body and a medium-length saline mineral finish. Riesling grows on skeletal, lime-free sandstone in southeast-facing Stettener Häder parcels. The grapes are selectively hand harvested, then pressed and spontaneously fermented. Fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel before gentle filtration and light sulphuring.

Weingut Beurer 2022 Kieselsandstein Riesling

The dry Riesling is made from hand-harvested fruit, undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is bottled unfiltered. Organic and biodynamic farming is certified by Demeter, while the finished wine carries 12.5 percent alcohol.
