About Weingut Maier
Weingut Maier lies among orchards above Schwaikheim, overlooking the Remstal vineyards. Michael Maier trained through a two-year winegrowing apprenticeship before studying winemaking at Geisenheim.
The vineyards are farmed organically with diverse cover crops, estate-made compost and targeted soil work. Alongside still wines from individual parcels, Maier makes traditional-method sparkling wine aged on its lees for more than twelve months.
