Ripe dark cherry and wild berry fruit are joined by liquorice, mushroom and warm wood notes. The 2003 is a dense, full-bodied Brunello, with a silky texture and considerable concentration. Firm tannins and a mineral edge give definition to the generous fruit, carrying through a long, savoury finish shaped by this notably warm vintage.
