Château Angélus 2003 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

$1,399.99

Ripe red and black berries are joined by a gentle roasted-coffee note. The palate is generous and velvety, with silky tannins supporting the rich fruit. Cabernet Franc brings freshness and lift to the blend, keeping the wine lively through its long finish. The result combines the warmth of the vintage with a finely balanced structure.

About Château Angélus
The bells of Saint-Émilion gave Château Angélus both its name and its emblem. Its vineyard occupies a natural amphitheatre beneath three churches, where the morning, noon and evening ringing once carried across the slopes. The de Boüard de Laforest family arrived in Saint-Émilion in 1782, and eight generations have helped shape the estate. Merlot grows on the clay-rich slope, with Cabernet Franc on the sandy clay-limestone soils at its foot. Cabernet Franc is a defining part of Angélus, valued for its freshness, fragrance and ageing potential.
