About Agostina Pieri
Agostina Pieri is a small family estate at Piancornello in southern Montalcino, where the land falls away toward the Maremma and Monte Amiata. The family began the project in 1991, with its first harvest in 1994 producing 3,000 bottles. Today Jacopo looks after the vineyards, Francesco oversees the cellar and production, and their mother Agostina remains closely involved.
The farm covers about twenty hectares, with eleven under vine and roughly eight devoted to olive trees. Five vineyard parcels lie between 160 and 230 metres, with the fruit from each made into wine separately.
