About Bouchard Père & Fils
Bouchard Père & Fils began as a wine business in Beaune in 1731, when Michel Bouchard settled in the city after years of trading along the route to Flanders. The family acquired its first vineyard parcels in 1775, establishing the domaine behind the historic house. In 1820 it took possession of the Château de Beaune, whose underground galleries became ageing cellars and now hold bottles reaching back to 1846.
Bouchard Père & Fils joined Artémis Domaines at the end of 2022 and today farms around sixty hectares, principally across the Côte de Beaune. Alongside its estate-grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the house buys grapes and young wines for its regional Burgundy. Organic conversion began in 2009.
