Dark plum and black cherry sit beneath savoury herbs, licorice and lavender. The palate is powerful and tightly structured, with concentrated fruit, firm tannins and cool mountain freshness giving the wine a restrained, serious shape. Decant well before serving with braised beef, lamb shoulder or aged hard cheese.

Ashes & Diamonds takes its inspiration from Napa Valley's wine culture of the 1960s. Its Howard Lane winery reflects that influence in a mid-century modern design, with a zig-zag roof and porthole details. In the cellar, light-handed winemaking is intended to bring out the character of each vineyard.
